As a family we have tried Casa Garcia’s a few times but they have never left a great taste in our mouths, no pun intended. Last time my dad went there and tried to Carnitas and was disappointed. Like was experiencing a shredded meat that was tender but instead he got tiny little meat cubes that were not tender, they were dry and hard to chew. He was so disappointed by it. Last time I had the beef fajitas they tasted very funny. They did not have a very get seasoning and marinade to them. My mom said she got the chicken caldo and it hardly had any veggie or meat, just one large cabbage in it and was disappointed. She mentioned it to her local church group and three other ladies said they had the same problem with their soups lately which is why they decided to stop going. They said it seemed Casa Garcia was going downhill. My dad said it just seemed like Casa Garcia’s food was bland and didn’t have a lot of seasoning to them. Last time I had breakfast there I got the eggs and ham and the ham just tasted too salty and it made me sick. I also remember asking my server if I could talk to the manager and the server brought over the manager and her name was Lilian and she was just so rude. She never said sorry, and acted as if it was my fault that the food was too salty. She said she couldn’t give a refund, only corporate could do that and then said so you want a remake or what? I was so surprised by her attitude and surprised that someone with a management title could be so tone deaf to customer service. I later saw her yelling at my server and the hosts, as if taking out her frustration with the situation on them. I asked the hosts if they were okay and they said yeah this happens all the time, that when Lilian is mad and can’t take it out on a customer she takes it out on the server or the hosts because she can and knows that no can complain or she’ll just fire them. I was so shocked to hear that and it made me sick to think that a manager would just abuse her power like that. I also remember a few times being over there and hearing my server talk bad about us, but they thought they were clever by talking in Spanish thinking we wouldn’t understand what they were saying, but if you have a manager who doesn’t handle customers well, it now makes sense why servers think they can also get away with it. I also talked to another worker who worked briefly there and they said he had a miserable because he was supposed to be trained by a manager named Victor but Victor was refusing to train and talk to him because he was the only openly gay person and he felt so defeated. He would ask for help and ask questions and Victor never helped him, which when I heard that, that was the final straw for me and my family with regards to ever eating here again. Sounds like poor management, discrimination, and food that is poorly flavored and not worth the taste. I will be telling everyone to avoid Casa Garcia’s and encourage my family to tell their family and friends to go to somewhere else like Mas Fajitas, Rio Grande or Chuy’s instead. They have better food, better service and a better atmosphere!!
Brian and his staff always makes sure they take good care of me. The food is always good, hot, and fresh! It's worth the 45 min drive. Keep up the great work!
The food at this location is always deliciously amazing! The service however, everytime we've gone here, we have the worst service. So disappointing!
if I was the manager I'd be embarrassed if I sent out containers of salsa like this and charged 9$ for a cup of queso.
