Update: Waited a few weeks and gave the place another shot. Showed up on a Saturday a little after they opened - not very busy at that time. We were seated and ordered brunch. Service was decent for the most part. Unfortunately they delivered our order to the wrong table - the table that received our order had ordered one of the items that we had ordered so when the food got to their table they kept that item but returned the other, eventually the waitstaff recognized their mistake and brought out our food. I was a little put off that the dish they brought me was the one that had been returned by the other table so was a bit cold and not freshly made. I’m upping the review to 3 since overall we ate and the experience was ok. As mentioned in original review below, would love to love this place - unfortunately not quite there. Leaving original review for reference below - We visited The Dime during its soft opening, excited to try the new spot that replaced Liberty BBQ—fully aware that early visits can come with some hiccups. The food and drinks were genuinely good—especially the cocktails—and the place shows real potential. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. Our server was largely absent, and several food items never arrived: brussels sprouts, roasted veggies, and fingerlings were all missing. My Greek salad came without the chicken. We had to flag down the manager multiple times just to get updates or place follow-up drink orders. The manager explained that their point of sale (POS) system was malfunctioning and offered to comp a missing beer and the truffle fries, which arrived very late in the meal. However, when the bill came, not only were those items not comped—they were actually charged twice. We were billed for four beers (only received one) and two orders of fries (only received one). It took another round of flagging staff just to get the check corrected. Advice: If you're doing a soft opening, consider a limited menu or discounted pricing while systems and staff get up to speed. In addition if a table’s order is this off, check in often and proactively, acknowledge the issues, and make a real effort to make it right. I really wanted to love this place—but the service made it hard.

Response from the owner

Thank you for visiting The Dime during our soft opening and for sharing such detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed our cocktails and saw the potential in our concept, but we’re truly sorry your experience was impacted by service and order issues. You’re absolutely right—during a soft opening, our goal should be to provide guests with a smooth, enjoyable experience even while we work through new systems. Unfortunately, our team fell short during your visit. The challenges you faced with missing items, order corrections, and delays are not the standard we are striving for, and we take full responsibility. We’ve already taken steps to address the issues you mentioned, including additional staff training, tighter communication between servers and management, and contingency planning when technology malfunctions occur. We appreciate your suggestions and will be implementing adjustments to ensure a much smoother experience moving forward. We want every guest to leave feeling taken care of, and we’d love the chance to welcome you back and provide the level of service you should expect. Thank you again for your honesty and for giving us the opportunity to improve to hopefully change your 1 star to 5! —The Dime Team

Service was great, Emma was so nice, atmosphere is beautiful. Food was not as great. Served the steak frites stilling raw while it was asked for medium rare+ burger was dry and the patty was thinner than a fast food burger. Paid $81 for burger, steak frites? Cocktail and a beer.

Went on a Saturday around 5pm. We were able to get seated right away. The atmosphere was very bright and inviting. Not only are there tables, but there is a nice sitting area in the back of the restaurant. The sitting area allows for photos opportunities and a chance to gather with friends while sipping on drinks. Food: 5 Appetizer - buffalo shrimp. I thought it was really good. Nice pairing of buffalo sauce with blue cheese. I definitely would order the shrimp again. Main course: steak fries. I love truffle fries and these were spot on. The fries are shoestring fries which I prefer over steak fries. I ordered my steak medium well and it was cooked perfect for me. Seasoned well, still moist in the center with a little pink. It was enough where I had leftovers to bring home. Drink: 5 Cantarito - similar to a paloma but served in a cute Mexican themed mug with a chamoy covers straw, tajin rim topped with a Mexican hard candy. It was a really nice flavorful drink that I enjoyed. Service: took a bit to place our initial appetizer order, it seemed our server was covering quite a few tables with 3 or 4 people. When we finally were able to place our order we went ahead and gave her our main meal order too. Appetizer was delivered about t minutes before our main meal. Overall she was friendly and offered suggestions when asked. Very courteous although she was slammed. Overall it was a nice experience and I will go again and also recommend. Update. Went back again and discovered there is a cute back patio area. Also was very happy that the kitchen manager/manager was accommodating when we arrived at 3pm wanting steak frites but it isn't available till 4. We were able to order it anyways. Thank you for the awesome customer service.
